About Nairobi Pave Pros
We lay cabro. Driveways, parking, yards and the drainage that goes with them, across Nairobi and the satellite towns. Nairobi Pave Pros is the Swahili for concrete.
We are paving specialists, not a concrete company
That is deliberate. Plenty of Kenyan firms will pour you a foundation, build a retaining wall and lay some cabro on the way out. We do one thing, and the thing we do is almost entirely about what goes under the blocks rather than the blocks themselves.
How we work
- Sub-base laid and compacted in layers, never placed in one lift and rolled.
- Subgrade tested before quoting, because on black cotton it changes everything.
- Edge restraint bedded and haunched, without it the field spreads regardless.
- Falls set from levels taken across the whole area, not judged by eye on the day.
- Excavation and cart-away quoted as their own line, because on clay they are the biggest cost.
- Staged payments with an M-Pesa receipt at each stage.
What we will tell you
That your rutted driveway probably needs relaying rather than replacing, and that the blocks are almost certainly reusable. That we will not build a base on saturated black cotton in the long rains. And that if somebody is meaningfully under KES 1,400 per square metre laid, something below the surface is not being done.
Credentials and the warranty
Registration, insurance cover and the workmanship warranty period appear in writing on the quotation, alongside the base build-up: sub-base depth, compaction and edge restraint. The base is what you are actually buying.
A warranty on cabro that does not describe the base underneath it is close to meaningless, because settlement and rutting come from the base rather than the blocks. Ask what depth of hardcore is going in, whether it will be compacted in layers, and what holds the edges. Those three answers separate a drive that lasts fifteen years from one that ruts in two rainy seasons.
